She lectures at MA and EdD levels and supervises theses in the area of teaching languages to children. Her research interests include task-based learning, sociocultural theory, and materials design. She has been involved in teacher development programmes both at Warwick and overseas. She has published widely in the area of teaching English to young learners. Her recent book for TESOL teachers with an interest in young learners is Teaching Young Language Learners (Oxford Handbooks for Language Teachers).
